After attracting so much attention with its lawsuit for intellectual property infringement against Samsung with respect to the iPhone and iPad designs, Apple makes finally announces the financial results of Q2 for the fiscal year of 2011, which officially ended on March 26.

According to the report, revenue and net profit from 2010 Q2 were doubled after making $24.67 billion in revenue and $5.99 billion in net profit this year.

With approximately 18.65 million units sold this quarter, iPhone sales are stronger than ever, being 2.45 million more than the previous quarter. That’s even 10 million more than in Q2 2010.

As for the iPad 2, demands for the tablet seem to stagger because of the inability of Apple’s hardware partners to produce them as fast as the consumers want it, which explains why it takes as much as 2 weeks to get the tablet if you order it online.

For obvious reasons, Apple didn’t say anything about the iPhone 5, as they’re waiting to announce it officially.
